What is Allrise?

ALL RISE is a non-profit founded by LBR, Braindead, and Ashima Shiraishi. ALL RISE provides financial aid to individuals and groups seeking recreational outlets with a focus on the outdoors. LBR is lucky to act as ALL RISE “ground zero” and has some fun and unique offers as a result.

  • Aside from LBR, ALL RISE supports NPO organizations around the US through financial aid as well as goal focused counseling. ALL RISE also acts as a proxy 501c3 for smaller neighborhood organizations that focus on community wellbeing.

  • The ALL RISE Climbing Wall in the front of house is 100% free for anyone interested in the experience of indoor climbing.

  • 10% of Braindead sales from our shop go towards ALL RISE.

  • ALL RISE and LBR have partnered to create the ALL RISE gym membership offerings. These are sliding scale memberships that provide the same full access to LBR. More info on Flexible Memberships in the section below.

Flexible Membership

Options

Our Flexible Membership options were created with the goal of reducing the financial barriers to our space. All Flexible Memberships are full access. Come as many times as you want and take all the classes. If you are interested, just ask at the desk. We don’t ask for any proof, just that you consider the list below and decide the level of support you need. We have three levels of support.

Should you apply for a FLEXIBLE MEMBERSHIP?

In recognizing the wide range of vulnerable and complex variables that comprise individual financial circumstances, below is a list of suggested criteria to apply. Applicants are not required to disclose any of the following information, it is solely for personal consideration:

• I am not a homeowner.

• I have not attended private education institutions.

• I do not have a post graduate degree.

• I identify as queer, trans, and/or BIPOC.

• I am a single parent.

• I am not a native English speaker.

• I have sometimes accrued credit card debt in order to meet my basic needs.

• I do not have a safety net of financially stable family members around me.

• I have found difficulty accessing and affording healthcare for me and/or my family members.

• My income supports my loved ones, as well as myself.

• I am unemployed or underemployed, and it is not by choice.

• I rarely have expendable income for entertainment, travel, and/or eating out.
